Our Founding

In December 1999, three mothers of twelve-year-old children became increasingly concerned about their children ‘s peers who were growing up in the midst of financial hardship. Having such proximity to these children prompted the founding of Kid Kare Project, Inc.

Our Misson

To support impoverished individuals by addressing their fundamental needs, focusing on empowering children to reach their fullest potential. Eradicate poverty's grip, unlocking each child's potential.

Our Vision

To eradicate poverty's grip, unlocking each child's potential. Focused on fundamental needs, we aspire to foster a community where dreams flourish, breaking the cycle of poverty. Together, we envision a compassionate, equal, and boundless tomorrow.

What We Do

Through funding from the United Way of the Wabash Valley and community donors, we have continued to provide essential resources to children including clothing, school supplies, yearbooks, school photos, participation funding for sports, and other extra-curricular activities, as well as healthy snacks, birthday and Christmas gifts, Easter baskets, and haircuts. In 2018, we joined the Catholic Charities food bank, and added a small food pantry to help meet the need for food items.
