OUR MISSION
& GOAL.
Empowering children to reach their highest potential by providing material items to enrich the lives of children residing in the state of Indiana. Our goal is for each child to reach his or her highest potential by blending with peers in the school environment, graduating, and ultimately becoming productive citizens for our community.
HISTORY
& VISION.
In December 1999, three mothers of twelve-year-old children became increasingly concerned about their children ‘s peers who were growing up in the midst of financial hardship. Having such proximity to these children prompted the founding of Kid Kare Project, Inc. Our vision is to provide material items and participation funding to enrich the lives of children.
Through funding from the United Way of the Wabash Valley and community donors, we have continued to provide essential resources to children including clothing, school supplies, yearbooks, school photos, participation funding for sports, and other extra-curricular activities, as well as healthy snacks, birthday and Christmas gifts, Easter baskets, and haircuts. In 2018, we joined the Catholic Charities food bank, and added a small food pantry to help meet the need for food items.
